Choose a language

Hello mates!

Here is my first post, I'm so excited! My name is Silvia and I am a language teacher. I have experience teaching both English and Spanish and every day I learn something new from my students. I see them repeating and repeating, year after year, the verbs without learning them. They pass the exams, of course, but few weeks later, when they are already learning another topic everything seems to have flown away from his mind. That's so frustrating! So when they've been few years repeating the same story, they start feeling that they are stupid and they will never be able to speak in that language. Have you ever felt like this? Don't worry, you are not the problem. It is the method. We start learning a language too quick trying to get as many vocabulary and grammar as possible. In few weeks our brain can't keep all this information without working with it. We need to learn slow, giving our brain some time and using the language. That's why my method focus on making it real, we need to learn a secound language like we learnt ours. At first, you may feel that you are not learning that much per day, but your level will be real and you will feel confident to speak in that language sooner than if you are only reading and studying. But the best thing is that you will have fun while you are learning, and there are a lot of studies which confirm that the brain needs that emotional conexion to register information. So let's have fun! Let's love English/Spanish! You'll see how you will be able to speak it sooner than you thought.

¡Hola amigos!

¿Alguna vez te has sentido así?
